ELIZABETH COKER worked as the caretaker at St. Paul’s Covent Garden, “the actor’s church”, until her death in 1915 during a German Zeppelin attack. She was buried in a forgotten grave in the cemetery of St Pancras ward in East Finchley, finally located after a six hour walk from St Paul's in central London to the cemetery in the outskirts of the city.
