good things and bad things have been happening. good things include: booking a flight to San Francisco to kick off a road trip with Billie, booking a flight back to NY from Phoenix, eating pizza at DiFara, drinking wine and watching the city twinkle below from the roof of 108 Leonard Street, going to Gutter every week, working as a tour guide at Frieze Art Fair, starting tap classes, watching Seinfeld from the beginning.

tonight I’m listening to Lulu, reading about Randall’s Island, thinking about Matthew Stone/Louwrien Wijers, and Warren Padula:
“My medium is not photography but a room made of images. The subject of the images is emotional, not factual. The narrative of the room is the sound you imagine. It’s my way into the war. According to Heisenberg, “The more precisely the position is determined, the less precisely the speed can be known.” One can only grasp part of an action, the other parts slip away. The more we hold onto certainty, the further we slide away. It’s only the metaphor that can be held firm. I don’t need anyone elses’ pain to engage with it.”
